The ABFPC works in collaboration with the City of Asheville’s Office of Sustainability to implement City Council’s priority areas of the 2017 Food Policy Action Plan. (This is not to be confused with the ABFPC’s Food Master Plan, which outlines the Council’s Mission, Vision, Goals and key priorities.)
In addition to implementation of Food Policy Action Plan priority areas, the ABFPC works to identify other Food Policy Action Plan objectives not currently being addressed by City Council that are of interest to ABFPC and the wider Asheville community and determine strategies to advocate for those additional priority areas.
