Food security is an issue that affects us all. Whether viewed through the lens of poverty, public health, local commerce, or sustainability, the access to affordable, healthy, locally sourced food is crucial to our region’s success.
In western North Carolina dozens of organizations are concerned with hunger and food security. The Asheville – Buncombe Food Policy council brings these groups together, allowing members of our community to make a larger impact through increased cooperation and collaboration.
